Talking and writing about music does not appeal to everyone who exercises it.

Igor Stravinsky said:
"I don't understand why one should talk about music. Music speaks for itself - if you have to explain it, something has gone wrong."

Nevertheless, it is worth talking about music, enriching it with context and biographical details. Education and moderation are important components of the music business today. They open up and deepen access to both well-known and unknown works. It is a matter close to my heart to bring listeners and readers even nearer to what I am so passionate about!

I do this through lectures, presentations and introductions at concerts, but also through newspaper reviews and essays about music and composers. Another very special aspect is the publication and edition of compositions that are still unknown or available in insufficient editions. I enjoy participating as an expert in the SRF2 program “Diskothek”, where I take part in a lively three-person panel to discuss the quality of recordings and select the best one.
